In 2014, I struggled with cystic acne that left me feeling incredibly depressed. I saw doctor after doctor, but no one could pinpoint the cause. It turned out to be a simple supplement—something no one had even thought to ask about.
Six years later, in 2020, I was hospitalized in a coma, on a life-support ventilator. When I woke up, I was losing my hair at a rapid rate due to telogen effluvium, suffering from PTSD and psychosis from intubation, and breaking out with painful acne all over my face and scalp—for reasons I couldn’t figure out.
After more than ten dermatologist appointments, countless prescriptions, and hours spent scouring the internet, I finally discovered the root cause: a set of ingredients triggering folliculitis.
I kept wondering—why isn’t there an easier way to help those who are suffering?
Skincare today feels like a maze—endless products, conflicting advice, and more questions than answers.
I created Thea because I was tired of the noise. I wanted a space where skincare wasn’t about trends, but about truth.
At Thea, we believe skincare should be rooted in real insights, not marketing gimmicks. We cut through the clutter to give you honest recommendations, expert-backed guidance, and a community that truly cares.
This journey is just beginning, and I’m so grateful to have you here.
Let’s redefine skincare—together.
